Can I cancel my reservation free of charge?

If you want to cancel your stay, this is done according to the RECRON conditions. The applicable percentages will then be charged. The shorter before arrival the holiday is cancelled, the higher the percentage to pay will be. You can find these conditions here. We kindly request that you always contact the reception in case of cancellation.

Can I arrange cancellation insurance with you?

Camping Bakkum does not offer cancellation insurance.

Where can I view and pay my payments?

You can view the payments via the app or My Bakkum. You can also pay for your reservation there.

How can I check if my reservation was successful?

Your reservation is only confirmed when you have received a reservation confirmation from us with a reservation number. If you have not received a confirmation from us, please check your spam box or contact the reception.

I am not staying at your campsite. Can I still come and play padel?

Of course! The advantage is that you do not have to take out a membership, but can simply rent the court whenever it suits you. So come by soon for a game of padel. Want to know more about our padel court? Click here.

What camping equipment is allowed?

You are welcome with a tent, trailer tent, camper or touring caravan. We ask you to use one piece of camping equipment per pitch. Do you have a small dome tent to accompany the main vehicle? No problem! This can be arranged in consultation.

How many people are allowed to stay on one camping spot?

A maximum of 6 people are allowed to stay overnight on each camping spot.

Is it possible to check out later from a camping spot?

Are you not ready to go home yet and do you want to enjoy your camping spot all day? Then we advise you to book an extra day. Otherwise we cannot guarantee that you can stay longer. You can always consult with the reception on the day of departure in the low season, when the spot remains free, you may have a late checkout. Of course you can leave your car in the parking lot so that you can still do something fun.

What time can I check in and out for a camping spot?

If you have reserved a camping spot, you can check in from 2:00 PM and check out is before 12:00 PM.

Can I also book for 1 night?

At camping Bakkum you can book from a minimum of 2 nights, with the exception of high season periods or during arrangements such as Easter or Ascension Day. If you only want to stay 1 night at the camping, you may just come on over and hope for the best, but always contact the reception by phone first on the day itself. It is possible that the camping is fully booked during the period in which you want to stay with us.

I want a specific camping spot. How do I arrange that?

Do you have a preference for a camping spot or would you like to book two camping spots next to each other? Then book a camping spot 'with preference'. This can be done via the 'choose the best spot yourself' button when booking online or contact the reception.

Is it possible to check out of an accommodation later?

Please contact our reception. The accommodation might be available after your stay. If this is not the case, late check-out is unfortunately not possible due to cleaning work due.

What time can I check in and out of an accommodation?

You are welcome to check in to our accommodations from 3:00 PM. Check out is before 10:00 AM.

Do you still have seasonal pitches available?

How nice that you are interested in a seasonal pitch! Seasonal camping at camping Bakkum is popular and for this reason we use our list of interested parties.

I have received a dune card. What do I need it for?

The campsite is located in the beautiful North Holland Dune Reserve. To enter this reserve, you need a dune card. If you camp with us, you will receive this by email prior to your arrival day.

Is barbecuing allowed at the campsite?

Barbecuing is allowed! However, we ask you to only do this with a gas or an electric BBQ because we are located within a vulnerable dune area and open fire is prohibited, therefore barbecuing on coals is not permitted.

Can I make a fire at the campsite?

Here we have to be strict: open fires are not allowed on the campsite. Be wise and prevent fires. Open fires, such as wood fires or charcoal barbecues, are not permitted.

From what age can I stay at your campsite?

From the age of 21 you can come camping with us without parents or guardians. Please note that Camping Bakkum is a family campsite and for this reason young people without supervision cannot be admitted to Camping Bakkum.

When will the campsite open?

Camping Bakkum is open from approximately the end of March to the end of October. The camping is closed during the winter period, but the reception remains accessible all year round. Here you can find when you can contact the reception.
